Play (low res)- James Bond in "A Day Is Not Enough"

another 1 day'r on the SR2, this time a Bond spoof, giving it the block buster look, wide open on long lenses, and a couple of glossy interiors.

on the wretchedrecordings.co.uk site Shot on the SR2 in a day and very little stock... was a nice chance to do a stage lighting look, harsh backlighting and contrasty for the first half, (b/w in post). follow the links under the video tab.... link to windows media clip

"Hand Righting"
(Super 16, short)

Click to enlarge -only a trailer on-line (without the best shots I might add....), had a screening at Nottinghill fest in 2004, plus a write up in the Fuji quaterly (Exposure).
Cargo (2005, feature) -
I'm credited with main camera and "additional cinematography".
the trailer is on http://www.yellowuk.biz/host/cargo/cargo_trailer.htm

Lil Sumo promo "taster" and 3 minute version Quicktime. A long cold night somewhere in the Midlands.... small prizes for guessing what it was shot on..... Brilliant edit by the way, Jay & John

Yellow's art doco (windows media file)... and another interview on film! DanJohnson.wmv
Another drama with Andi, this time black & white on HD little_angels

"South for Winter" 35mm won an award for cinematography recently @ Palmares. I wonder if it was for the attempt to get the summer and winter feel into the shots as the lead character, in a park in winter, remembers happier times.

"Glasseye" a short for the NPA's website, bringing to life the newsletter's comic strip glasseye

2006 and another promo for AG Dolla Pilgrim.

features... with some work on Lindsay Shonteff's Angel's Devils and Men, and Louis Melville's "Man who sold the world".

Link to the "jib page", since getting a jib (2004), I've been instumental in getting a bit more movement in to other peoples' films! the best have been Man out of time, and 2005 the feature Popcorn hopefully will be able to put them up here soon...

Link to Lens tests, this is a few high res photos, about 1½ times HD resolution with some of the movie lenses
