Arri S16/SR2 Lens

135/200mm Meyer and Pentacon Orestor build quality is fairly consistently fab, and the optics at least as good as contemporary western Zeiss.
Quality of the lens coating tends to vary, so contrast and colours vary quite a lot. Single blue coating on Zebra vintage can impart quite a warm look under some lighting conditions (eg strong sunshine).
All manual versions have 15 blade iris, auto/electric versions have only 5, and worth around half as much (the percieved value of bokeh?).
Meyer/Zebra tend to be worth more, but there is no technical or build reason for this.
The 135mm is a Sonnar design, both cut well with the vario-Sonnar zoom with the SR2 kit.

Plus: The example pics show an aceptable performance wide open?
Cons: Close focus performance isn't so good towards edge of frame (coma and CA at peripherals on full frame 35mm, but less so on movie frame and inperceptable on Super 16 or DX video). 135mm cf is 1.5m, but best beyond 3.5m. 200mm cf is 2.5m -best greater than 5m.
